John Britto

John Britto is a distinguished mentor, performer, choreographer, and entertainment designer, who pioneered South India's largest dance education movement. He established the first Western dance school in Tamil Nadu in 1994. An academic achiever with an MBA gold medal, Britto's Dance Company, with over ten studios in Chennai, has revolutionized dance education. The company's ensemble, known for its well-trained dancers and versatile repertoire, has graced stages globally, performing for prestigious events, film awards, and sporting ceremonies.

John’s dance repertoire typically includes jazz, contemporary, modern, global fusion, international ethnic, hip hop, salsa, lambada, samba, flamenco, tango, jive, Indian classical, and Indian cultural dances.

As the official choreographer for multiple dance reality shows, including ‘Bigg Boss’, a popular reality TV show, John continues to inspire and shape the dance community with his vision, expertise, and unwavering commitment to the art.

As a dance artist, John Britto has earned accolades as the first Chennaite to win the ‘Best Dancer Award’ from Shiamak Davar.

His achievements include the ‘Best Choreographer Award’ from Prabhu Deva and invitations as a cultural connect envoy by the US government.
